A splendid hike across Alpe di Siusi to Tierser Alpl.
From Compatsch at the western border of Alpe di Siusi (1870m; up to here cable cars or road up from Siusi or Castelrotto) with the chair lift up to Hotel Panorama (2014m, 20 min. walk, path 7), then continue on the slightly descending and flat path no. 2 and in a southern direction across Alpe di Siusi.
Later on, always on path no. 2 ascending the slopes of Grunser Bühel and Punta d'Oro to the bottom of the Denti di Terra Rossa ridge; in serpentines over rock boulders steeply up to Forcella dei Denti di Terrarossa (2499m), and on path no. 2 in a few minutes south over to Tierser-Alpl hut (2438m; 2.20 hours from the starting point).
Descent: From the hut on a wide forest road (mark 4) downhill in eastern direction through a steep mountain valley to Dialer or Seiser-Alm-Haus (2145m, guesthouse); to the left on path no. 7 through grassy terrain - and crossing small ditches - in a northern direction to Mahlknecht hut (2045m, guesthouse); now on the wide forest road (mark 7) first uphill and then mostly flat through the meadows of Alpe di Siusi back to the starting point. From Tierser Alpl 2.5 – 3 hours.
